Friday night, beer in hand and here I am, coding embedded microcontrollers in C. What has the world come to..? I should be out getting hammered dagnabbit. Funnily enough I actually don’t mind too much, as this Embedded Systems unit has been a pleasant change from the usual Engineering darp. Things have been extremely busy with uni as of late and I’ve hardly even had the time to pwn the Gooshmeister at squash. The semester is coming to an end and it looks like my final year project is pretty much sorted too, so things are looking up.

I stumbled upon this site/thread the other day, which I thought looked fucking amazing. Even if you haven’t played Half-Life 2 before, you can probably still appreciate the quality of these images that have been enhanced through HDR lighting. Here’s a few sample images from the thread:

I’ve been hearing a lot about this new movie coming out, you’ve probably heard of it: “Sin City”. I wasn’t familiar with the comic book that it’s supposedly based on, but by the sounds of it, it’s going to be rather good. The cast speaks for itself quite frankly…(psst…Jessica Alba plays a stripper). Initially I heard Johnny Depp and Steve Buscemi were going to be in it as well, but after checking ye old IMDB, it doesn’t appear so. Have you heard anything about this Leigh?

In other news looking forward to the Interpol and Queens of the Stone Age concerts, just a shame they're mid-week during semester. Cheers again for picking up the tickets Leigh, fucking legend. By the way, I took your advice and downloaded QOTSA’s self titled album – dammit why didn’t you tell me about this before?! One new and one pseudo new album in the same year, it’s almost too much to handle, schblarp!
